Once upon a time you could separate your personal life from your professional one. However, with the development and continued usage of social media it is increasingly difficult to do so. It is a good rule of thumb to remember that anything electronic is also
public. If you don't want your boss or clients to read it, don't send it out or post it.

Thanks for the link and the question! Our trademark is Envision Sales and Marketing, but the names are indeed similar. Occasionally you may find that your trademark is similiar to someone else's. it is important when you select a company name that you feel that it accurately represents your product or service and that it has a positive emotional connection for clients. Chances are that, during internet searches, you will get some shared traffic with the other company. This will have varying impacts on businesses depending on the nature of the business and where the businesses are located. If you are a pizza place in Chicago, for example, a pizza place in Orlando with a similiar name won't really have an effect on your brand. It is also important to note again that branding is much more than a name, and those customers that have a positive experience with your product or service are sure to remember you, regardless of the name.

Thanks for your post! Sometimes we are unaware that there are peer pressures in business. We should stop comparing ourselves to others, think of the ways that work for us, we should have a vision and don't stress out yourself by making your business like others.
